Golf tournament raises funds for kiwi

Moehau Environment Group and Coromandel Golf Club teamed up to host the first Save Kiwi Week Golf tournament on Sunday 5 October. The event raised $680 for kiwi protection on the Coromandel, with much fun had by all who came.

The Stableford tournament was won by Colin McNeal, a local golfer who is also a keen supporter of kiwi conservation. Moehau Environment Group is looking forward to making this an annual event and is encouraging golfers from throughout Waikato to join in.

Many thanks to our prize sponsors and Coromandel Golf Club for making the day a success. Prizes were donated by Mana Retreat Centre, Earth Sea Sky, Icebreaker, Placemakers Thames, Gulf Harbour Marina, Ripples Cafe, Lakes Resort, The Lost Spring, Pepper Tree Restaurant, Richardsons Real Estate, NZ Golf Magazine & Harcourts.
