Biodiversity Workshop in Colville: 6 April 2013

You are invited to a Pest Management and Water Quality Workshop being held in Colville during April.

The purpose of the day is to engage & support local landowners interested in issues like weed management, animal pest management, water quality, soil conservation and biodiversity values.

Presenters will include Moehau Environment Group, other local community groups, as well as Waikato Regional Council & DOC staff. A field trip is also being planned to a nearby property, to gain practical examples of how landowners can protect biodiversity on their own properties.

The workshop will be held in Colville Hall, from 9.30am-3pm on Saturday 6 April. Morning tea and lunch and petrol vouchers for community groups will be provided by Trust Waikato through the Waikato Environment Centre.

The workshop is being coordinated by local landowner Nathan McCauley of Te Kauae o Maui Nature Reserve, in conjunction with the Waikato Biodiversity Forum. If you wish to attend, please RSVP by Monday 1 April 2013, by contacting Moira Cursey on 0800 246348 or
